Anyway, we sing the song (musical), we sign the song (kinesthetic), we read the song on a chart (visual/linguistic), we make up new words (interpersonal).

I use a song in my class that probably comes from a book or tape you may be able to find. Very easy, and everyone can participate:

If you're wearing red, stand up, If you're wearing red sit down,
If you're wearing green stand up, if you're wearing green, sit down,
If you're wearing blue stand up, If you're wearing blue sit down.
What are you wearing, what are you wearing, what are you wearing
Today, today,
What are you wearing, what are you wearing, what are you wearing
Today?

Repeat using other colors of clothing the kids are wearing that day.

There are lots of other color songs- Little Red Caboose, Little Red Wagon, Yellow Bird, Orange is a Carrot, Black is the Color, Lavender's Blue.

Paints
by Ilo Orleans

When I put YELLOW
Paint on RED,
The colors change
To ORANGE instead.
And, mixing BLUE
And RED, I get
A pretty shade
of VIOLET.

Another trick
That I have seen:
YELLOW and BLUE
Turn into GREEN.

There's magic when
My colors mix.
It's fun to watch them
doing tricks.

Crayons
by Dee Lillegard

Sticks of colors
Orange, red,
Yellow, green,
And brown like bread.

Blue like water
In the sea.
Purple like bruises
On my knee.

Black like night
When I'm in bed,
Dreaming in yellow,
Orange, and red.
